Packing Possibilities: How Our Community Showed Up for Children
Thanks to the generosity and teamwork of our incredible community, this year’s school supply drive was a resounding success! Together, we collected 171 fully stocked backpacks for children in foster care across North Carolina. These backpacks are more than just supplies—they are a fresh start, a boost of confidence, and a reminder that someone cares.
We are deeply grateful to the many individuals, families, businesses, faith communities, and civic groups who rallied together to make this possible. You might laugh, you might cry, and you might even feel a little angry—but you will always walk away with a renewed sense of hope and deep compassion for the incredible work foster families do each day to keep children safe, loved, and supported. Their stories truly reflect CHS’s mission to promote the right of every child to a permanent, safe, and loving family.
